Tailgates have gradually become an indispensable tool in many truck loading and unloading operations.
In order to regulate its use and ensure safe operation, we have summarized some safety precautions when using the tailgate for reference:
1. Driving with the tailgate open may result in cargo falling or an accident. Always retract and lock the tailgate when work is complete.
2. When loading and unloading wheeled goods or containers using the tailgate, a limit device with a height of not less than 50mm should be installed under the wheel of the trolley to prevent the goods from accidentally slipping off the edge of the platform.
3. Do not stand on the tailgate when lifting. If you must do this, please pay attention to prevent people from falling and ensure safety.
4. Loading cargo at a distance of 300mm from the edge of the tailgate will cause the tailgate to tilt, causing the cargo to fall. This practice should be strictly prohibited.
5. Before operating the tailgate, make sure there are no persons or obstacles within the operating range. The weight of the cargo must not exceed the maximum lifting capacity of the tailgate.
6. Maximum lifting capacity varies according to loading position.
7. Do not tilt the platform upwards when loading to prevent the cargo from sliding down. Do not adjust platform angle during loading.
8. Do not use the tailgate on steep slopes, soft ground, uneven ground or obstacle surfaces.
9. It is strictly forbidden for power forklifts to drive up the tailgate to load and unload goods.
10. Make sure that hands and feet are not caught when operating the tailgate.
We sincerely hope that users will always be alert to potential safety hazards, improve safety awareness, develop good operating habits, and prevent accidents.
