A basic introduction to armature
In the process of realizing the conversion between mechanical energy and electric energy, it plays a key and pivotal role. For the generator, it is the part that generates the electromotive force, such as the rotor in the DC generator, the stator in the alternator; For an electric motor, it is the part that generates the electromagnetic force, such as the rotor in a DC motor.
An armature is a part of a motor containing a wire whose relative motion against a magnetic field creates an induced electromotive force in the wire (as in a generator), or an energized wire subjected to an amperage force in a magnetic field that causes it to rotate in a magnetic field (as in an electric motor).
